Not............quite..........there (2007-12-06)

What to rent when you’ve seen everything else….. I found myself at home this past Wednesday night staring at the DVD in my hand with a surprised look on my face that questioned: Why would I EVER rent this movie? I’ve never been a big Nicholas Cage fan, and Marvel comics made into major motion pictures are cute for only just so long. I’m just an Iowa girl that enjoys her corn and good, simple living, I don’t need to watch a man whose head lights into flames to fight the supernatural evil demons of this world.
This movie surprised me to say the least. It was actually quirky and kind of funny. It wasn’t the best comic-made-movie I’ve ever seen, but definitely not the worst. Nicholas Cage fit his character well, although he could’ve worked on that Midwestern accent a bit more. (But I have a biased opinion on Midwestern accents). They leave the ending open for a sequel, although I think that one was enough. The movie was a medium-sized cow. The special effects were awesome but were slightly overshadowed by the stupid one-liners that ruined the script.

Excellent Movie (2008-10-19)

We really enjoyed the movie, even with Nicholas' over emoting in parts. The extended cut is much, much better than the widescreen version, much more of Peter Fonda. :) (More)

There Are Better Ways to Spend 90 Minutes! (2008-09-25)

Ghost Rider has a thin plot and corny dialogue. The movie fails to pull the audience and excite them. the CGI involved is the highlight of the film but not enough to make it a success. Maybe children... (More)
