Mooo (2007-12-10)

I stuck out like a sore thumb in Paramount‘s most recent Sci-Fi flick as I was surrounded on all sides. I didn’t fit in with the geeks up front, complaining again and again how this movie would be MUCH better if we offered it in 3-D, nor did I look at home with the face-sucking high school students who were obviously there for something other than whatever happened to be showing that night. I don’t necessarily look OLD, like one of those awkward adults that continues to believe they look hip wearing teen clothes, but I also don’t dress like the other girls there that night, with their midriff-showing sweaters, nose piercings, and bleached-streaked hair. So I decided to just slip into the back row and hope that no one took notice to elderly me. I kept telling myself that it was ok.. This movie would be worth it.
But like I said, I’ve been wrong before. The movie wasn’t BAD, and it’s one of those popular films that you feel obligated to see, because everyone is going to see it and continue to talk about it FOREVER. But it lasted way too long and there wasn’t a really strong plot. There were a couple good action scenes, although I was prediction a lot more. I’m also predicting a couple Oscar nods for animation. Speaking of which, the weird animation/yet still real-life actors thing was unnerving. I ended up with the conclusion that they only did this because it was the only way they could get Angelina Jolie naked.

Beowulf Dvd Review (2008-11-17)

Special effects are decent, any resemblance to the actual story is purely coincidental! Too bad, as most students SHOULD read originals before watching "re-makes." (More)

Great Action with a Mid-evil Theme! (2008-10-30)

This movie ranks with the movie 300! Great CGI, with a feel of 3-D at times. A must for your movie files. A second or third watch brings out all of the "little things" you'll miss at first. (More)
